The Action Group has been formed to draw public attention to the closure of many Motor Cycle Testing Facilities in the UK, not just our own here in Elgin. The plans to create multi purpose centres, whilst great news for large cities do not support the needs of more rural locations.
We held a demonstration rally back in August 2007 with over 260 bikes taking part. Our local MP Angus Roberston even took up the challenge from Tom Harris, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport, and got on a motorbike as a pillion rider on the event.
On the 12th of April 2008 we will mount a much larger demonstration to again show the levels of concern amongst bikers, car drivers and the general public at the loss of these vital facilities.
